Hi! I have not put my database online yet but I have some “hits” with yours regarding the Emerre’s and Fernandez’s. My son recently married Tracy née Rowling and her family tree goes back to Mavis Emerre who married Amos Rowling, her grandfather. I am interested in any further information you may have regarding the above Ihapera. Tracy knew she had a Maori ancestor but does not know any detail.

Interesting about Captain Thomas Fernandez. Attached is a few more details that must have led up to his letter.

  1. Hi

Ihapera Tewera Kereama is my Great Grandmother and I am trying to find out information about her. I see you are interested in her history and i was wondering have you found anything out about her? I have written to Ngati Porou to see if I could find out more information i.e. her family etc. If I find out anything I will send on to you.

    Kind regards

  2. Hey, have just seen this and was going through the names to add to my family tree. – Nigel Royal MAKA, b. 13-11-1948, d. 21-7-2004 in Auckland is my father. His name was not Nigel but Royal Glenton Maka (went by the name Nick rather than Royal). Cheers.

  4. A couple of entries are incorrect 1. Anthony Eric Meria married Diane Howell and not Dianne Clark. 2. Tracey Meria is spelt with an ‘e’ and is not Tracy. Thanks.

    Regards Tracey Gill (nee Meria)
